The Math Tutor Center and Study Hall (MTC) is a UNO academic service that helps students maximize their math potential.
The purpose of the center is to assist students in learning mathematics and in successfully completing their mathematics requirements at UNO. It offers both individualized and group programs.
UNO Math students can come to the Math Tutor Center to study or work with a tutor.
-
Sign in at the desk and ask for the next available tutor
-
When your tutoring session is over, please fill out an evaluation form, available from your tutor, and leave it at the reception desk.
-
Tutors must work with many students and therefore tutees must be aware that a tutoring session's time is limited.
Procedures in the Learning Resource Center (LA334) are slightly different. Check in at the reception desk and the person there will direct you to the Math table.
Individuals can make half-hour appointments and groups of 3 or more can make hour appointments. Please specify the course when you are calling for an appointment. Appointments are not available during all MTC hours. Call 280-1168 for an appointment
Software with video lessons for DEVM 0107, and Math 1115, 1125, 1116, 1126, and calculus through 2108/ 2111 are available for in-house viewing in LA334. Some titles are available in the Mat107. YOU must have your onw headphones to use the software.
